How many Handcrafted Hoedown for the Holidays have you been a part of?
This is my First!
What is your favorite thing about this craft sale? I have gone shopping at this sale often. What I love about it is the environment, the orchard, looking at all of the creative crafts people make really inspires me. I have bought things like mittens and apple koozies and I shop for apples, cider and donuts all the many times each year. This is a really nice craft show to go to during the Holidays.
What kind of gifts do you look for when you go shopping for the holiday's?
I am always looking for new holiday decor every year whether I need it or not ( I don't), I love all things Christmas tree and red. Pillows, candles and ornaments are things I can't seem to stay away from.
Please share your favorite holiday recipe: I always made decorated sugar cookies every Christmas when I was a kid, so this recipe is very nostalgic for me. This is a tradition that I have passed down to my kids so we also make Christmas cutouts every year and they love it!. So I am sharing our sugar christmas cookie recipe and frosting!

1 c butter

1/2 tsp almond extract
2-1/2 c AP flour

1 tsp cream of tartar
Cream butter for 1-2 minutes. Add egg, vanilla, almond extract, beat 30 seconds more. Add all dry ingredients and mix until combined. Refrigerate 1 hour, roll out, cut and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350-degrees.
