Cinnamon Rum Applesauce

Writer: Kim LapacekKim Lapacek

After I made the Spiced Rum Cake I decided to make some applesauce too. I was just going to make my normal applesauce but that bottle of rum just kept calling to me and I'm glad I picked up!

Cinnamon Rum Applesauce

1/4 Peck baker's mix apples

1 T spiced rum

1 tsp cinnamon

Peel, core, and slice the apples from the baker's mix bag and put them right into a mini crock pot. Turn the crock pot on high. Add the rum and cinnamon. Stir about every 30 minutes. At about 1.5 to 2 hours the sauce will start to boil and pop - it is done then! If you like a chunky sauce you're done! If you prefer a smooth sauce, take an electric mixer and just blend the sauce to your desired consistency. Enjoy!
